Novelos ends development of drug candidate for lung cancer

Novelos Therapeutics decided to stop developing a drug candidate, NOV-002, for lung cancer in combination with conventional chemotherapy drugs after the candidate failed to improve the condition of patients. NOV-002 was tested with paclitaxel and carboplatin in a late-stage trial. The company said it will continue to test the compound as a breast cancer treatment. Read More...
